A Moving Cleaning Checklist to Simplify Your Move

You need to choose a moving company, decide when to move, determine whether or not you want them to pack your belongings, decide on storage, and then go through all the work of organizing and packing up your home (as well as changing your address). There is one thing that people often forget during all this hustle and bustle: cleaning. Cleaning your home before the new owners or tenants arrive is important, and it will ensure you get everything you need to out of your house. As experienced Littleton movers, we have years of experience in the moving industry, and have created a moving cleaning checklist to help simplify the moving process.

A Few Tips to Get Started

Before we go straight into the checklist itself, there is something you should know: there are certain products and items that movers will not move from your home.  These include hazardous materials (such as cleaning solutions bleach, pool chemicals, fireworks, nail polish remover, matches, paint paint thinner, weapons, ammunition, car batteries, etc. Additionally, perishable items such as food, plants, animals, etc., are not moved by moving companies. Cleaning your home thoroughly will ensure that you use up those cleaning solutions and dispose of hazardous materials before the moving company arrives.
